Dead By Daylight
by Julie Farue
Dead By Daylight is a multiplayer horror / survival game. It is played, exclusively by 5 players, 4 of whom are survivors - who must repair the five generators scattered around the map to be able to open the exit gates and escape - and one, the killer, who, as the name says, must capture the others players, hook them and sacrifice them.
As a survivor, it is possible to play alone (with 3 other random players) or with friends, being able to enjoy skills that unlock from your progress in the game, the use of items that help you escape and distract the killer.
The worlds are generated randomly, thus hindering their chances of survival, but in compensation, each player has three unique abilities that give him advantages during the game and, later, they can be unlocked in other characters.
Among the items, there are flashlights (which blind the killer for a while, thus giving time for a stealthy escape), toolboxes (helping the generators' quickest concert) and first aid boxes (which as the name says, helps injured members to heal themselves or heal others quickly). All of these can be purchased and chests are scattered around the map.
The killers come from all kinds of horror genres, from brutal slashers (horror films) and even paranormal entities. With these characters you can unlock powers that help you track, hunt, break and sacrifice your victims before they have a chance to escape safely. Like survivors, killers also have unique abilities beyond their powers.
